Just a thought...

OK, fair enough; Singing the Blues didn't exactly set the charts on fire did it? But watching it being played live the other night, got me thinking. Some of the songs actually came across even better live than they did on the CD, so what are the chances of a live single? As they are playing a benefit concert for the Great Ormond Street Hospital in a few weeks, what about a live version of The Young Ones, with all proceeds going to the hospital? If they did that, I'd buy 50 copies no problem. Or why not something like We Say Yeah (a cracking opener) or even one of the ballads, The Next Time or Visions? Personally, I feel that this band has to be experienced live to fully appreciate how incredible they still are, and I feel that a live single would be a great way to round things off. Maybe it could come out to accompany the live DVD? (Seeing as how there won't be an actual live album) I'd love to see Cliff and the Shads back at the top of the singles charts and, having seen them live last week, I feel that it shouldn't be ruled out.

So how about it?

I'm with you 100% on this Chris, compared to their live performances I always felt that the singles & albums didnt convey just how phenomenal they really are as a live band...... ....ok, the records always sold well, as the band always had a huge following worldwide, & yes, it would be terrific to see them back at the top of the charts.......but their live concerts have to be experienced to really appreciate their collective talent. :D
Cheers :)
