It was when we needed a bit of extra level, the whole sound was distorted, surely you could hear it, everyone else did. I don't know whether the amp or the Meazzi, or a combination of the two were causing it, but it was the same when Daniel played though I did try to clean it up during his performance. I feel we need to sit and play with the settings to get an understanding of what is happening, one can't expect to just plug in and achieve magic with a machine as complex as that. I suspect there were issues around the gain somewhere in the chain that could easily be solved with a little time. :)

Hi Dave,

Ecca reckons he never heard a Meazzi that didn't distort.
Thanks for the clarification anyway, I know that using a
magicstomp with the amp it doesn't sound distorted.

As you say, fiddling with settings, not to be recommended
in a "live" situation.

It was great meeting up again and seeing you and Daniel.

I'll be bringing the amp to North Notts anyway but probably no Meazzi
as it will have gone back to it's owner by then!!

See! I told you that you couldn't mix Great Wyrley time with normal time - they're in two different universes  I took a risk playing the BT through my laptop - you could hear the spring fly out :x

Thanks to Keith (in Alps!) for the cheese and tomato cobs. Good to see Dave and Dan again. Welcome to the Doncaster mob (Eddie, Graham and Mike - fyi Ian  ). And it's not true what they say about Yorkshire men 'cos Robbo bought me a pint :o
(ex-guitar player) - now a ukulele and ukulele bass player!
Update: After 10 years absence, now a born-again Hankie
