I defy anyone to play The Cruel Sea with a plectrum at the proper speed.

Many thanks to all the Hankies for a really warm and entertaining evening....including free Cheese Cobs and crisps.....we thought it was all a rumour!
It was certainly just like Barratts of Manchester with loads of gear to get your ear around which made an interesting change to proceedings.

Nice to see Gren and Phil again after all these years when I originally came down to Gren's first Club meetings in Telford (1997...I think)
Ecca....brilliant, we loved it!

It's over a couple of hours drive for myself, but we (Eddie, Graham, Mike) will no doubt be back for more.
Many thanks once again for your kind hospitality.

I might be able to get down again next Tuesday and if so will bring my ESE Echomatic and the Copicat to try through those two amps again - if that's OK. I'm interested to know if I could get them to sound like my own kit. :)

Ecca reckons he never heard a Meazzi that didn't distort.
Thanks for the clarification anyway, I know that using a
magicstomp with the amp it doesn't sound distorted.

As you say, fiddling with settings, not to be recommended
in a "live" situation.

It was great meeting up again and seeing you and Daniel.

I'll be bringing the amp to North Notts anyway but probably no Meazzi
as it will have gone back to it's owner by then!!

Amanda

It will be good to hear you play through it at North Notts, Looking forward to it

Hi all.
Can I bring my new ESE Echomatic 6 SE down and you can show me how to get the best from it with a few tips. Eric of ESE says he has incorporated a couple of upgrades into the unit, based on feedback from other ESE users.
Regards Geoff.

Just found out that I'm not going to be able to get down to the next meeting and with rehearsals and gigs coming in it may be mid November before I have a Tuesday free. :)

Hi Geoff, I had a 6 SE and Dave had a go at setting it up (also Alan jackson and Terry Devon) but it can't be set up as a 4 and adding 2 extra heads its a different beast altogether especially with the regen. regards Keith ps he did set up David Martins 6 and apparently got excellent results
