Thanks again Pete for another successful meet. North Notts must be one of the most popular clubs in the country and that doesn't happen by accident! Someone somewhere must be doing something right. There are times when success brings it's own challenges, pleasing all of the people all of the time is one of them, and I don't know anyone who has done that yet.

I have always found that North Notts has run a very fair and understanding system, perhaps if anyone needs to get away before the end they should say so and then something can be done, or Pete could get a crystal ball and then would be able to know what people want without the need for any communication.

Yes a great afternoon was enjoyed by all (80+, is that a record?). As previously said, you must be doing something right! If we get 80 at the next Congleton meeting I will be over the moon!!!

This was my first visit to your club,(thanks to Geoff_w and his good lady) and may i say what a well run club you have,
i was made to feel at home by all that i met and it was nice to put a face to a name.
Of course i will be at the next meeting in December.
The format for the meeting was spot on, being able to listen to various playing abilities/styles
and the range of equipment used.
Again thanks to all concerned in the running of North Notts Club and it's members.

Pete,

As you know I ran a club in Cambridgeshire and it was extremely hard work as Dave has previously said.
All credit goes to you for maintaining the North Notts club and although I have not been able to attend recently due to other commitments, I have always enjoyed myself when I have been there.
It's not just about playing, although that is important, it's about meeting friends, listening to others play and enjoying the baked goods.
Keep up the good work and hopefully Ange & I will get to a meeting soon.

Paul: No, 80+ isn't a record. The record stands at just over 120. What a day that was trying to fit everyone in who wanted to play.

I suppose a lot of this is caused by the club actually being a victim of its own success.
If it wasn't as popular as it is then the problem might not have occurred.

I'd better not say any more otherwise the Government will try to find a way of taxing it.........
