Roger Allcock (Vintage Sounds)

Postby dobroman » 20 Oct 2010, 15:08

Had a message from Tony Clout to the effect that Roger has closed his website. I, for one, am very sad to hear that and just hope it has nothing to do with health or family issues. I just thought that it was a glitch on the internet!

If you have decided to "pack it in" Roger, for whatever reason, I want to say thank you for all the entertainment you have given, and continue to give, me with you recordings, and backing tracks.

I do hope that you decide to continue, I think maybe a lot of people will also wish the same.

Anyway, whatever you decide to do, best wishes to you for the future.

Regards

Brian

I was only talking about Roger to Lars Mullen of Guitar and Bass magazine yesterday. He's keen to talk to Roger...

I've got all of Roger's BT CDs and regularly play to them at the Hankies. Whatever the problem is Roger, let me just say thank you for what you have provided and I hope that you are back in action soon.

There seems to be some misunderstanding here. I have decided to remove my website and informed Tony Clout of that, but certainly have no intention of withdrawing any recordings.

I still get a 'kick' out of playing and recording etc and will continue to do so as long as I find that I'm enjoying it!

Roger Allcock retiring ?

He was last seen playing live to a spellbound, sellout audience of 70 souls at a hall near Tresparrett in NE Cornwall on the 15th October, 2010. This is equivalent to filling the Albert Hall in London.

I'm sure there's more to come, including more backing tracks..............can't wait.

OH Dear Roger

Does your closing down your website mean I can't get hold of any of the BTs now? I am new to this site and, only just spotted the fantastic variety of BT cds you had/have. Please tell me I'm not too late.
