Jimmy Jemain, Colin Pryce-Jones on Dutch TV

Having a wooden chair for the echo unit is important, CP-J notes.

In the early years, Hank usually had his echo box on a wooden chair, so if you want to have the same sound, you need to do the same.
I was very surprised to see that Colin Price-Jones has a Vox-Meazzi drum echo unit. Is it a real one, or a copy with the Atlantis electronics inside ?

Thanks for sharing Greg. The good thing by dutch and scandianavian television is, that you always get the original sound with subtitles.
Most countries are dubbing in their own language.
I have never heard Jimmy sing.
It sounded very authentic in my ears.
Perhaps it's the wooden chair :-)

The French TV is always dubbing, I hate that !...

I would agree that Jimmy Jemain sounds like Cliff when he's talking, but not when he's singing. They'll be claiming next that Orville the duck sounds like Roy Orbison.

Someone on the production crew was clever enough to create that split screen image midway through the clip: Cliff and Shads on left, Jimmy and Rapiers on right.
