Yep - and in the background Bruce is playing the butterscotch Tele that appears on the cover of "The Shadows" LP and "Shadows To The Fore" EP and that he reckoned he never actually played.

Surely he couldnt not remember not playing TWO Teles??! LOL!!
I know I cant remember what I was doing 10 years ago, let alone 50, so it ain't no surprise that Bruce can't recall it.
I was once told that on the piccy on the album cover of "The Shadows", the shop swing ticket was visible hanging from the bottom strap button. Well - I've looked for it and all I can see it the bit of string that once held it. Must have ripped it off before the photoshoot. Set Dressing - but "somehow" Bruce got to play one ( that one or its identical twin sister - LOL!) for real - remember it or not.
cheers

In this video of Cliff playing Apache you can clearly see some strange symbols above the letters HBM on the famous guitar 34346. Does anyone know what is its meaning?

I think he rather said he never owned one or recorded with it. When I saw the Shadows at the Paris Olympia in late 1961, he played with such a Tele !...

Maybe there are more than one version of the picture. This enlargement from the The Shadows EP shows a ticket on the end of the string.
