Just a thought, but wouldn't it be nice if during the tour Cliff and the Shads could inform the audiences of Jet's current situation, dedicate a number to him (one he played on) and ask the audience to wish him all the best for a full recovery. I bet the applause would be deafening.

Jet deserves to be formally acknowledged on this site and honored by Shadows fans and by the Shadows themselves (and not only Jet, but also Tony, Licorice, and John), as I'm sure he is. And yes, the standing ovation would be long and deafening.

I was looking for the "Jet Harris" thread and could only find this one.
Our prayers here are for Jet Harris and Dick Dale. They are both going through tremendously challenging
times and I want them to know that both their names are mentioned in our daily prayers.

Having just returned from the Sunday performance at the NIA, it did cross my mind that it would have been a thoughtful gesture if it had been mentioned during the performance a comment or dedication to past Shadows - past and present - Tony Meehan, John Rostill, Iam Samwell, Jerry Lordan (mighty big influence!) etc. plus those still present Jet, Alan and Licorice and Cliff (Hall). Don't forget the first Cliff hits didn't feature any of the current Shadows/Drifters on the released 45s - seesion players were the order of the day! The Shadows in the form of Jet, Tony, Bruce and Hank didn't feature till much later!

Get well soon Jet, at least the thoughts of this web site are with you at this time.
