That brings back memories for sure. I remember playing in this little club where we did a resident spot every weekend in the early sixties. I was around fifteen I think, doing Shads tunes of the day. This guy came up half way through the night and asked if he could play a number with the band with my guitar.
I thought: "Who's this old guy wanting to play in my band?" He was probably only around 20

but thats the way you see folk in your early teens. He played shadoogie and blew my playing to bits in a big way. But it was some early learning for me and gave me a chance to hear my Hofner V2(I think) being played live from the audience point of view. I can still remember walking back onto the stage feeling very humbled to resume playing with the band

It sure kept my feet on the ground.
