Just record a stereo track of your backing first off onto one of the stereo track pairs by connecting the CD player etc into the jacks. Once thats done you record your guitar part onto one of the spare mono tracks . Have you got a microphone for recording off your amp c/w phantom power etc ? Once the backing and lead is recorded you can set about mixing the three tracks later and any additional overdubs of your guitar onto the other spare track. It's something you will have to get into and progress as you go mate but thats the first basics of it. Have fun !
