Tape loops recommendation

Postby Rjanuarsa » 04 Dec 2010, 13:57

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me on which brand of tape to use for making tape loops for my tape echoes? At the moment I am using the one that are supplied by ESE and some readily made tape loops I bought from the Internet. And my supplies are running short right now. I would like to make my own.

Appreciate your help.

Regards,

Hi Robby,

I use BASF Professional SM468 for my Vox Long Tom and you will need a loop 27 inches long for that. Use a good quality joining tape or it may come apart after a while.

You should be able to find a small reel of tape on e bay for a reasonable price but if you can't give me your address (off line) and I'll post you some free.

I have read your other posts and listened to you recordings and I'm impressed with your guitar playing.

Hi Barry,

Thanks so much for your reply.

Is BASF Professional Sm468 readily available for purchase? I will browse the Internet for reel of tape, see if I can find one. Nice to hear from another Long Tom user :D . And thanks so much for the offer. I'll be in touch.

I appreciate you taking the time to listen to the recordings.
