Hey Guys, to save any arguments, some of you who know Bruce personally will have his phone number, why dont you give his wife a ring and ask her
what she would like, while Bruce is ill, I am 100% it will be exactly what Bruce would want too.
We all love him to bits and wish him only a speedy recovery. But I agree that illness is private, but when you are as famous as Bruce, everybody wanting to know every detail I am afraid it goes with the territory .

I spoke to a member of Bruce's family last night. I was told that "his health is good" and was asked to reiterate the plea to respect his privacy whilst he recovers from surgery...

As far as this thread is concerned, by all means post your good wishes here. I know that Bruce was very touched by all your messages when he went into hospital to have his prostate cancer operation.

I have no words to express what an inspiration this man has been to me, both personally and musically... maybe one day I will try to write it down.

In the meantime, I'm so relieved to hear that he's in one piece, albeit with one or two bits rearranged...

I didn't want to post anything in this thread out of respect for Bruce's privacy, but after David's message that Bruce is on his way to recovery, I can only say that I am hugely relieved and wish all the best to Bruce, whom I have looked up to not only as a musical role model, but as a great guy, whose unselfish dedication to Shadows music and his bigger-than-life personality has been one of the main forces keeping us all together and still enjoying the music that we love so much. Now it is our turn to give him back some of that energy, love, and support.

Bruce, I have never met you personally and unfortunately I probably never will, but I feel so close to you because you have been with me since my high school days, and that is almost 50 years, and even now you are a constant source of inspiration.

So, hurry up and get well Bruce, and get back to what you and we love the most -- Shadows music!!!
