South West Shadows Club (Exeter, Devon) 30th January Meeting

Hi Everybody

The next South West Shadows Club meeting is on the 30th January 2011, this will be at our well appointed venue The Exeter Court Hotel. The Exeter Court has easy access from either direction at Kennford near the Southern end of the M5 off the A38.

South West Shadows Club is for those who enjoy playing or listening to Shadows-style music. Experienced player or novice, we have a friendly atmosphere and all that is required to get you up and playing to backing tracks or with the band.

The focus is now aimed very much on a good club experience, new comers are immediately made to feel welcome and are invited to take part in the activities without being pushed to go beyond their personal comfort zones. Many are surprised to find how quickly the great atmosphere and common interest proves to be just the right motivation to expand their knowledge and playing skills, taking the enjoyment of their music to new highs.

The clubs Drummer, Eddie Scott, now has a great new DW drum kit in "Gold Glass" finish, which is the same as those used by Brian Bennett on last years tour! We have also just purchased a Hartke Kickback 15 Bass Amp to compliment our line up of great equipment, which includes a VOX AC30, PA, mixer/sound desk, microphones and other kit.
