Ulrich, - Thanks for the information and the scans. I will post a scan of the Mono centre label (can anyone tell me how to upload an image).

I was about to post a reply when I read your post. I have been staring at the sleeves and could see no difference. My wife (who sees everything - don't they all). Noticed the difference. I have versions 1 and 2 (I didn't know that the sleeve came as version 3, I'll have to look out for that one). Because I had seen the flipback slleve in the first pressing and because the second preesing also has a flipback sleeve top and bottom, my eyes never noticed the difference in that version 2 does not have a flipback down the spine. It was there right in front of me all the time and I never noticed.

Thanks to everyone who answered, I should have paid more attention but I just could not see any difference.

Regards

Paul

Hi Paul,

It happens to me quite regularly that I am looking at record labels/sleeves and having the impression that there is something different without being able to name it. It sometimes takes quite a while to find out what it was.
I am looking forward to finally seeing a black-blue copy of this album. Chasing it for such a long time I already had the impression that it was ghost release.

Best wishes,

Ulrich

PS. If you need a copy of variation 3 I think I have a spare one. Will have to look.

Ulrich - Thanks for your reply, If you do have a copy of version 3 for sale let me know. I bought the Mono version about 20 years ago through record collector. I had been searching for years for the blue/black label. I attended record fairs regularly but non of the dealers claimed to have ever seen one. It was at the time a mythical ghost and then one day one came up for sale. I think I paid about £30 for it.

I will scan the label tonight and upload it.

One last thing, how do I upload an picture?

Regards

Paul

Hi,

I just checked my stereo LP ( UK release ) which I bought in the Autumn of 1969 and it also has a black / silver label.

Hi Paul,

I have just returned home and have checked my spare copies. I have four copies of this LP but unfortunately all of them are variation 1. Sorry!

Including images with your posting is rather simple. Below the box where you enter your posting you have the 'Save', 'Preview' and 'Submit' buttons. Below those you have two tabs 'Options' and 'Upload attachment'. If you choose the second tab you can click onto 'Search' (or similar as I have the German expression for it), which will open the directory window of your computer. Select the image file (I found sizes between 600 and 800 pixels per side quite suitable) and then press the button 'Add the File'. You can add an comment to the file but this is optional.

Best wishes,

Ulrich
