That's the photo's on and thanks for the help Ray. Now to re-type the review I lost yesterday and it will be complete.
Hit Parade Heros show on Sat. 5 Feb, Farnham Hall, Fareham
The show started with John Leyton backed by The Flames. Singing his hits and lots more his set was interspersed with famous name dropping and anecdotes from his 50 years in the music and film business.
The Shadowers backing Jet opened the second half. Jet wowed the audience through a set of hits and his famous 1 liners between numbers and to catch his breath. He showed us his MBE which the audience appreciated and applauded. For Jets last number Licorice Locking came on stage to play one of Jets numbers "I Stand Alone" alongside Jet. With Alan Jones playing bass in the band and Jet and Licorice playing this was the first time ever that three original Shadows bass players have played together on stage.
After jet left the stage Licorice played his set of vocals, bass and harmonica numbers.
Mike Berry was on stage next and he was also backed by The Shadowers. Mike was tagged as the British Buddy Holly years ago and of course he played his Buddy Holly numbers and lots more including some Cliff Richard tracks. Mike also had some tales to tell about his life and music and was very entertaining.
It was good to see The Shadowers backing these stars and I saw them in a new light and not just playing Shadows music. They were excellent.
I am not a reporter but this is just a resume of the evening and very entertaining it was too. If you get a chance to see it I can recommend it. It was a great nights entertainment.
