Is this a joke name or is there a bot in the site?

If it really is a bot, is it authorised and if so, what is its function?

If not, I fear that some mischief may occur, either to the site itself or to users.

Could the managers investigate?

It really IS a Bot and it's authorised to scan the titles of topic posted but nothing else, so names, id's, email addresses etc are all well protected

It's so that other Shads music fans can find us through Google...

Yes That's right, they are search engine bots as David rightly says.
