. . . . . and see Steve Webb (of the original 1960s Rapiers) hurtle through OBS in Pipeline 2006 in a medley with Swingin' Low, Dixie and Hava Nagila . . . . .

It can be done!

Those little snippets look excellent !
They're so short as to defy any speed measurement but sure look the business !

On Sunday March 9th 2003 - crikey, nearly 8 years ago already!!!! - promoter Hans Edler put on an amazing evening at the London Palladium - Mike Berry / John Leyton / The Tornados /Jet Harris / The Rapiers / Johnny & The Hurricanes / The Spotnicks. A fabulous event. The Spotnicks played O B Special - but Bo Winberg didn't take the lead - the second guitarist did. His name escapes me at the moment - but he was absolutely superb. He played O B S at tremendous speed. I managed to speak to him briefly after the show, along with Colin Pryce - Jones. He was a lovely guy...and incredibly modest.

Hello Rob
I must have been Ralph Nilsson, he use to play OBS, but I don´t know if it is in 140 tempo. But for me it sounds as it is on right speed. Here is a vidoe with Ralph ( not so good ) but he plays OBS.

Many, many, many thanks Bertil. What a fantastic player. A great clip to watch. Yes....Ralph Nilsson...that was indeed who it was. A superb guitarist. It was a big thrill for me to meet him that night....plus of course legendary Spotnicks Bo Winberg and Bob Lander. It was ( 9 / 3 / 2003 ) a wonderful evening.

Bests...Rob :D

I think the Hellecasters also did OBS fast- probably John Jorgenson?- I'm sure there is either a CD or live DVD where they play it?...heard it a few years ago.
