Jim Nugent phoned me on Friday with the news but I was heading off for a computer-free weekend. So sorry to hear this - it was one battle we all hoped Jet would win... He may be gone but while there are Shadows fans he will not be forgotten.

Condolences to his family and friends.

RIP Jet

Jet was the musical inspiration for many of us and his death has been a shock especially for those of us who followed the Shadows from the beginning - our deepest sympathy to his family and close friends.

I regret never seeing him play live, a sad loss.

I'm very sorry to learn of Jet's death. Just 2 years ago, I began to study how he played bass for all those lovely Shadows pieces. I resolve to learn Nivram. Rest in peace, Jet.

On behalf of the Northern Ireland Shadows Club I wish to offer our deepest condolences to Janet and Jet's family. Jet will never be forgotten,he inspired so many people, not only bass players, and will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
