Last Words (Jet Tribute)

Postby Arpeggio » 27 Mar 2011, 22:19

On Radio 4's "Last Words" tonight - both Bruce Welch and Geoff Barker paid full tribute to Jet. A splendid item within the programme. It's probably available on 'Listen Again'. Well worth your attention.

I love the bit where they stuck him in the middle to stop him wandering off to chat up the ladies! Thanks for the link Rob.

Everyone, Jet's seven-minute feature in "Last Words" (starting at 21:51) is really worth a listen, especially the comments from Bruce Welch, who explains why every Shadows bassist since Jet has been placed center stage in the lineup.

When you go to the Link You can click to the actual "chapter" - Chapter 4 - without having to go through all the preceding people.
A good tribute to our Jet with soundbites from Geoff Barker and Bruce, who I think was "hard" edited and I'm sure was saying more about how Jet left The Shadows in a more kindly tone than it appears in the final cut.
Whatever, thank you for providing the link, Rob. Well worth the listen.
cheers
