Bojan - I like it a lot - well done and thanks. Actually I like the use of the new 'silhouette' too - I don't have a problem with Cliff being there at all - he is an important part of the Shadows story too.
While I am sympathetic to those wanting to put John Farrar in - they did have their chance to comment over the last couple of weeks - so....I think that the process has been fair.

for me, although there has been great post 60's music from the Shads including John and others, the design does it for me because it includes all the members involved in that early highly influential period (and that includes Cliff!) - Well done Bojan.

1. Anyone who manages to bring my vote for or against Gordon Brown into this discussion gets my vote for the most bizarre post added to the discussion. And then you subsequently say you don't like the picture of John Farrar because he has a beard? Yikes.

2. I did not know that Bojan designed the winning entry and I have always enjoyed his posts and comments over the years. He has behaved admirably during this debate and I really appreciate his efforts. The modification with John Farrar looks fine to me and is much more fitting for the first image that visitors to this site get to see. It doesn't matter what the voting was, there was an error in the design which has easily been corrected by the winning designer. Let's not blow this chance to make things right.

I was under the impression that the inclusion of the Cliff picture was to make the new banner topical and as a nod of acknowledgement and appreciation to Cliff. After all, largely thanks to Cliff the Shads are currently undertaking the biggest tour they have ever done, have returned to the singles charts and album charts and, no doubt, will shortly be topping the music DVD charts. Oh yes and wasn't it Cliff who sort of brought them all together in the first place and then recommended them to Norrie Paramor and helped them to get their own separate deal? So, in my book, Cliff deserves his place on the new Shadowmusic banner. By the way, I voted for it, so congratulations.

How this will please everyone is your guess as much as is mine, here are my feelings, so you have it from me up front on here, I don't like private emails...............If it was left to me to pick a header I would have choosen this one below, because it covered every aspect of this new home
, and I can't see how anyone could find fault with it, but I'm sure somebody will!........

I didnt want to enter into this debate but totally agree 100% with the above

I think Bojan did a good job with what he had to work with, it isn't his fault that it looks to cluttered and it would be even worse if everyone else who played with The Shadows was added, which is why in my opinion a more basic design would have worked better for me.

Maybe it's because I like the old style of the instantly recognisable Shadows sillhouettes, particularly the one where they are stood playing with the full drum kit, just a pesronal opinion though. It would be nice to see that sillhouette in place of the new one with Cliff.

That said, Bojan won fair and square with the votes and in my book it stands, but if he wants to change it, that's fine by me.
