D'oh! My last post on this aspect. I've just been reading Shadowmusic's own "People" section. I'd heard that Amanda Hambidge was amongst the throng in the whole overcrowded and emotional scene. But......our very own Shadowmusic founder David Martin was there too!!! Sorry David. I didn't see you myself & in my list of 'omissions' - no - one tipped me off. Well, folks, as you've seen from the "People" section, you all know that David is a true gentleman. Not rocking the boat, not sounding his own trumpet (or Burns). Content to stay quietly in the background and then just as quietly 'melt away'. Really, without the Internet & without Shadowmusic - our own lives / paths would never have been so enriched down the years. Our Shadowmusic web community is the sum of all its members. A special place. So many, many thanks to David. Jet was honoured by the important musicians in his life as well as family, friends and dedicated fans. If the sevice had been held (purely hypothetical) at somewhere like Winchester Cathedral then the thousands of fans who wanted to be there could have been. Meanwhile.....watch these boards for news of potential Jet Harris Memorial events - when fans and musicians will be able to honour Jet in their own way. I know that many local clubs are paying their own tributes to Jet in meetings. That is a wonderful thought...of all of these guitarists and drummers throughout the land playing Shads, Jet, Jet & Tony tracks in honour of our hero. Absolutely perfect. Jet's memory really will live on through the music.
Bests.....Rob
