It`s Wonderful To Be Young

Here is something that has puzzeld me for a while,its the different versions of the song It`s Wonderful To Be Young.Reading the New Musical Express in 1962 the composer Burt Bacharach was present at the recording he wasn`t very well known in this country at that time and said The Shadows could not attend the recording session.I have got take 14 and 24 on CD ,take 14 is definately The Shadows playing,take 24 from the CD set Cliff Richard At The Movies may not be The Shadows who ever it is they are playing acoustic guitars,on the session notes there is a girl chorus from The Mike Sammes Singers ,also piano by Max Harris though I can`t hear any piano playing on the record,I have also heard a version with the Norrie Paramor Strings which I think would be overdubbed later on. In the book The Complete Cronicle of Cliff`s recordings take 28 was recorded on the 11th of August 1962 so there are potentionaly four versions of the song.Listen to the American trailer of the film and compere the different versions

There are five versions:
1. The American mono mix (earlier fade);
2. The American stereo mix (later fade);
3. The mono version from the UK EP "A Forever Kind Of Love" (different (possibly) and louder strings);
4. The take as issued on the 1996 UK double CD "At The Movies 1959-1974" (undubbed);
5. The take as issued on the 2005 UK CD "The Young Ones" (alternate take).

The Shadows are definitely on all versions of the track.
