Rob,
I think we would all wish to thank you for your write up of Jet's funeral, but it must also be said that you gave a wonderful, emotional eulogy at the service, entirely fitting to the occasion.

I'd like to add my thanks to Rob for all that he's done at this sad time.

Would it be out of order to ask if you would allow us all the privilege of reading the eulogy you gave Rob?

Hi Everyone,
Several people have asked about this. Basically, I have no problem with making what I said available - but it's only fair of me to ask Janet first if she's OK with it. I'm going to send her the actual copy (complete with crossings out etc) of what I read out (although large chunks were ingrained in my memory). She may want to edit it. It's one thing to read something out 'live' which is then gone. Quite another to see things in print in the cold light of day after the event. But....if Janet's OK with it - then so am I. Watch this space.

Bests.....Rob :D

Hi Rob,

Ian Plant gave us a great rendition of "Theme For Something Really Important " at The Hankies last night.

It was great to see Bruce up and about last week.

Nice to see the thread is back on track again!

It was my great pleasure and my great Sadness too!
"TFSRI" and then an arrangment of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" in the Early Shadows style (that Jet MIGHT have played had it been so) was my personal Tribute to Jet.

Our friend Mike, who was a close friend of Jet's in the last five years, went to the funeral. He went back the next day to look at the beautiful floral tributes. Unfortunately all the cards had gone so he couldn't see who gave them. :(
