Corona Factory 57 Re-Issue Neck Circa 1988

Postby Tab » 30 May 2011, 13:37

I'm looking for such a neck - attached to a body or not (serial numbers close to V049000)

If anyone knows where I might locate such an item, I would be very grateful for the information.

Kind regards,

Terry

Thanks Stuart,

I'll keep watching - they seem to have every type of Strat neck except what I'm looking for.

The reason for that vintage is because the necks made at that time for the 57 Re-Issues were very, very slim. The current 57 Re-Issue necks are more robust and 'V' profiled.

Kind regards,

Terry

Hi Stuart,

Yes, I've often thought about a custom made neck. It's just a question of finding somebody not too far away who could take the dimensions from my 57 Re-Issue and I could rely on to do the job. I have a Classic 50's sunburst strung with 13-56s fitted with CS54 pickups which sounds wonderful, but I would like a slightly slimmer neck on it as I don't have the use of my third finger due to an accident some time ago. The slimmer neck is easier for me to use.

Thanks for your comments.

Kind regards,

Terry

I suppose you've looked at the stock necks carried by WD Music ( Kent Armstrong) just outside Ashford in Kent.

Fender licensed, I've not used one but they look very good and I've had quick plunck on one of their Parts casters and they certainly feel ok to me.

Logo less of course but plenty of those around on Ebay (logos that is)
