Ray Davies of the Kinks was being interviewed and discussing the 'Untidy' and 'Clean Cut' Images of groups in the 60s.
He placed the Kinks alongside the Rolling Stones and a few others in the 'Untidy' section.
The interviewer then asked with surprise did he not think The Beatles were untidy to which re replied.
Naah........long pause......... They were just The Shadows with wigs on.
