Levisham 60's Weekend

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway 60’s Weekend will be held on the 11th & 12th June with an interesting mix of attractions at stations along the line.

Once again we will be entertained at Levisham by our regulars Shadows Music, Shazam and Ian Geast.
Playing with Shazam this year will be our special guest Mr Alan Jones.

The two tea huts will be open and the beer tent will be serving ales from the York Brewery.
For the first time last year extra supplies ensured that the beer managed to last the whole weekend. It now seems to be the food that runs out, so get your sandwiches early.

There will be an hourly train service on both days with direct trains to/from Whitby on Saturday.

Entry will be free to NYMR ticket holders but to help towards the cost of the event we will be asking a not unreasonable £2 for a platform ticket.

On the Saturday evening the Pickering Sixties Festival features The Persuaders and The Tremeloes performing in the Market Place until 10pm. This event is free.

Hi Gordon,
We are all looking forward to the weekend. The weather looks to be good, have got the suncream ready and the parasols. For anyone who has never been then this is a lovely way to spend the day. Good music and beautiful countryside as well as steam trains!!
