My Cakeocaster has an ebony/maple neck that was very reasonably priced from the USA.
Listen with a grain of salt in your ear to what this lot tell you about making your own and get a fat wallet for a Brason neck.

A 3A birds-eye maple neck from Warmoth costs $357 (£219) + trans-Atlantic shipping and possibly customs. A 3A birds-eye maple neck from Alan Brason costs around £184 . . .

Would suggest a dry run with softwood just to get the hang of it...

Ecca did a dry run with Genoa cake and when he rasped it.... crumbs!!
