In the meantime, if you fancy seeing one of the many groups which have evolved from the Scarborough Club, we, Legend, are playing at the Levisham Railway Station (part of the North Yorks Moors Railway network) next Sunday from noon(ish). There's another thread on this site about it; three of us originate from Redcar and we've been members of East Yorks for years. It's a great day out; I'm sure you'd enjoy it. Try to get to Levisham if you can, and come and say 'Hello' to us. For a taste of what we do, type in "Shadowmusic 1947" (without the quotes) on the Youtube site, and catch us in full flow. Looking forward to meeting you.
Mart. (forgot to say, Levisham is a free gig)

Just to add to Martin's note.

Levisham is indeed a free gig. But as it is put on by the NYMR it is only free if you have come on the train.
Otherwise you will need to part with £2 to obtain a platform ticket from Fergus to gain entrance to the paddock.
Its a cheap afternoon as the car park is free. Plus the drive down from the top of the hill to the station is an experience to remember.

Hope to see you there.
