Marty Wilde/Wildcats and Jet

Saw Marty and the Wildcats in Hanley last night. The Wilcats did a tribute to Jet, playing Diamonds (on a Burns baratone) and Wonderful Land. Marty also always ends his shows paying homage to artists no longer with us and Jet got a mention.

A great show!

Great stuff, I still watch the DVD of Marty's 'Born To Rock & Roll' where Jet get a slot in the show. Shame someone else didn't afford him the same respect on a fiftieth tour, there wasn't even a mention . . .
Still, there's a tribute for him at Shadowmania tomorrow, though I like to tell folks how much I think of them whilst they are alive, it's better somehow.
If I sound dis-enchanted with it all, it's probably because I am. I've had it with the ME, ME, ME brigade, though I still enjoy the music . . . .
