Calling Rob Bradford! It's already been 24 hours. Where's you concert report and setlists? :-) Just kidding. Shadowmania's not officially "in the book" until I read Rob's eyewitness reportage.

Hi Greg,
I have 'deputed' (not really, he always does it meticulously and brilliantly anyway) George Geddes to perform this vital task this year. I was heavily involved with helping out re: Jet Harris Memorial Fund / Raffle etc., etc - so couldn't pay 100% attention to set lists etc (particularly the first half). So....lookout for George's posting at some point in the near future. Meanwhile....I can only echo what everyone else has said. A fantastic event as ever. The Runaways, The Foot Tappers, The Rapiers, Bruce's Shadows.....all absolutely superb. Simply masterly playing. Warren Bennett & Friends (Mitch Dalton - lead, Alan Hawshaw - keyboards, Mo Foster - bass, Brian Bennett - drums & Warren himself on lead vocals & rhythm) - as always a very different and eclectic set. But..wow!! These master musicians were also stunning and demonstrated the massive ability required from the days when they played sessions and recorded 'Library Music'. These people could turn their hand to anything, any style of music from complex jazz to cheesy MOR and all points in between. Great to hear a drum solo from Brian too. Thanks Bruce for organising yet another outstanding event. Very sad that Jet is no longer with us.....but a most fitting evening dedicated to his memory. Of course, just wonderful to see Bruce looking so well and playing / singing as brilliantly as ever. Long may he, and Shadowmania, flourish.

Rob :D

A fantastic event, great to meet up with Dennis & Bernie Shields from the Northern Ireland Shads club (keep takin the Bushmills). One complaint, inconsiderate people (poss Scandinavian) who had a 2 Foot high tripod /video camera on the front end of our table for the complete concert, VERY RUDE !!

Another fantastic SHADOWMANIA. :D
Many thanks to Bruce Welch for putting it all together.
We saw some incredible performances from the groups.
My personal highlights were: Bruce's inspirational singing & playing, Alan Hawkshaw's keyboard work and Phil Kelly's wonderful guitar artistry.
Nice to see the tributes to Jet, who was sadly missed.

It was great to attend this weekend event & to meet up with many old friends from around the globe.

Thanks once again to Bruce. In the words of the Eagles "Take it easy" for a while

Regards to all .............Brian (bec)

Hi everyone,
What a great weekend. I only hope there is another Shadowmania next year! A big thank you to all who were involved in the running of such a superb event. As everyone has commented all the bands were great and they only add to the inspiration of playing 'Shadows music'. The one great thing about this event is the feeling of warmth from so many people. Someone said to me it's like a great big family!
A big thank you to Bruce who must have felt very tired after all the effort in the light of the big operation he under went and I hope Licorice is feeling better.
Here's to the next time??

I must agree with the comments expressed, this was my 10th Shadowmania,- I missed the first one, and with the exception of Jet's absence I think it was the best yet. Thanks to Bruce and the others who make it happen.

Hi Guys n Gals,

Was a wicked show, was really honoured that we again did the start of the first half session, then we were able to see the rest of the show that way..! :) Sound was again excellent and the turnout was again brilliant. The tribute to Jet, and of course John and Tony was a good mix of tracks, well played everyone (as i am biased) notably John Tuck (Rapiers Drums) Jet would had been proud to have heard them and im sure in his way he was there and did hear them. God bless Jet, John and Tony.
I hope that we have some/all acts tracks on Youtube filtering through soon and We're sooo pleased that we were not the only band to make a 'classical chord' or two! lol.. Bruce picks some powerful numbers for the Moonlight Shadows and are performed perfectly 99% of the time!! The Foot Tappers are unreal and Tim's hands travel like lightening on those drums! He actually dropped a stick mid track, but no one would had known it ;) !! Was good to see Warren, Brian and friends on form!! Rapiers! Licorice! Terrrrrrific. More please Bruce, its too good to stop now!!!

Regards,

Ivan (drums The Runaways)
