Once more the "Intelectuals" produce a top ten list that is not worth the paper it was printed on.

I agree but Guitarist magazine did a poll about 10-15 years ago (voted by the magazine's writers and editors) and Bruce came in top...

We have to remember that 15 years down the line alot of the younger ones have never heard of Bruce Welch!
I know I mentioned the Shadows to one neighbour in her late 20s and she had never heard of them. But then I had never heard of half the bands or singers she mentioned - seemed most came from X factor and such shows which I never watch!

You could also argue where's Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, Don Everly etc and more recently Tommy Emmanuel (he plays rhythm for brother Phil) - in fact there are many, many more worthy names than some of those on that list. ;)

It's hardly surprising that a guitarist not known for using Gibson guitars doesn't appear in a list of guitarists on the Gibson site...

Not just the J200. There are YouTube clips of tracks like Mary Anne and Grandfather's Clock which show Hank and Bruce both playing Gibson acoustics - 6 and 12 string. Not sure of the exacvt models though.

My 19 year old cousin has never even heard of Hank Marvin or the Shadows. She had to ask her mum (who's 44) and she only vaguely knew who they were!

Nevermind "Where's Bruce?" I was just wondering "where's Martcaster Junior these days; and, blow me down, up he pops like the proverbial bad penny he's always been. Hello, son!
