Peace Pipe...How good is this!!???

Postby Arpeggio » 20 Oct 2011, 10:09

Wow! Just came across this Youtube link:

http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A ... 4lxPRHwUBg

It's from guitarist Stuart Bailey. Superb!! To my ears the B/T sounds like it is Jet / Tony / Bruce.....so was some specialist software used to expunge Hank from the actual track?? Stuart has got the lead sound off to a tee. Now, I'm a long - standing fan not a guitarist. So.....what do all of the guitarists out there think??

Sorry...the guitarist is actually James Street. He has other Youtube posts (I haven't checked them out yet) on his channel jastreet0123. The notification came to me via Stuart Bailey. So...James Street is the player.

Hi All

I found him last weekend whilst having a trawl around, he's very good isn't he!

Is he a member of our happy community?

Hi Guys,

I was told that there was a discussion of my new 'Peace Pipe' video here, and so I thought I would pop in to say hello and thank everyone for their kind words.

Stuart, thanks for posting the link to my video and for your nice remarks.

Rob, Pierre, Neil, Roc and Geoff, I am glad you enjoyed the video and I very much appreciate your comments.

Roger, I am indeed fortunate to have a magic box, aka the TVS3. It gives a good core sound right out of the box, but it has taken a little while to learn how to get the best from it. The video demonstrates its capabilities very well. I acknowledged Paul Rossiter in the credits at the end of the video, since I benefitted immensely from his advice and he did the final sound mix.

Neil, I figured someone would notice all the wine bottles. I should have cropped them out of the video frame, but having a glass of red wine seems to be an important factor in producing 'That Sound'. ;)

Geoff, glad you found my site. Although I registered for this community a couple of years back, I have not been active on this message board. I have been posting on Charlie Hall's board and on the Perth Shadows Club board. It seems like a nice friendly place and I hope to stop by more frequently in future.

All the best!

James
