Maroc 7 and A Place In The Sun.

Having seen the wonderful clip of "The Warlord" being performed live via you-tube, I wondered whether two of my favourite tracks, "Maroc 7" and "A Place In The Sun" were ever performed live or on Top Of The Pops etc at any time ?

The Shadows did indeed appear on TOTP in 1966 miming to A Place In The Sun. They were resplendent in their newer, more trendy haircuts and caual clothes, including a polo neck sweater for Hank.

I don't think they promoted Maroc 7 on TV at all.

Maroc 7 was plugged on TOTP - but not with the Shadows in the studio. A film was made to accompany it - 'cobbled together' (I think!) with snippets from 'Wonderful Life' (I think) - or at least, something similarly daft featuring H, B, B & J in Arab - looking costumes and sultry young ladies resembling something out of a harem! Does anyone else recall this bizarre film clip? Did I imagine it?
