My Christmas / post-Surgery present

Postby abel » 11 Dec 2011, 21:38

Hi All,

I hope you are all Ok.
Last week, I underwent a major neck surgery. It's a combination of Laminectomy and Laminoplasty on 5 cervical vertebree.
They open the back of the neck and cut, and open up the vertebree to release the pressure and the compression on the spinal cord.
They straighten the inner structure with pieces of synthetic bones and wedges with tiny screws.

I am feeling better at the end of the 2nd week and it will take me a month and 1/2 to recuperate.

My consolation price is this superb Cigano Series GJ-10 Gypsy Jazz Guitar Natural I found at Musician's Friend for only $399.
I also got a solid caisse for $69.

I hope I'll be able to play it.
Next week (God Willing), I will start practicing.
I should get it tomorrow.

Blessings to all,
Abel

Excellent!

Glad to hear that you are on the mend, Abel (and dead jealous of you with that guitar)!

I might see you next month (if you're fit enough).

Best wishes,

JN

Abel, best wishes for a quick and complete recovery as well as a joyous Holiday Season. Having a new guitar to play with will hopefully speed the process.

Billy gave me a copy of the Men of Mystery CD...semi final mix...It is excellent. You should all be very proud. Looking forward to seeing a Men of Mystery gig very soon in Southern California.

Best regards, John
