Thanks everyone for a great evening and excellent buffet, Special Thanks to everyone who helped .

Both my wife & son said they had a great night and really enjoyed it

The club must be doing something right when even my 18 year old son said he enjoyed it and started talking about learning to play

Appear I did indeed.

What a splendid evening and a good opportunity to try out my new Gibbo with a hole in. :D

Many thanks to Roger Bayliss who kindly let me use his kit. I'd have to say I'm not sure
the boys who built the mighty AC 30 had acoustic guitars foremost in their minds when
they designed the beast.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed playing again following a break of twelve months.
The standard of playing is as high as ever and sitting there it dawned on me
how much I missed it all.
I think the Strats will have to find their way out in the new year.

My thanks to the First Lord of Bloxwich for his kind comments on the tone
of the Gibson. And of course to the venerable Hankies who gave a rousing
cheer when I'd finished playing. ( Or was it relief because I'd finished playing? ).

Either way a jolly good night and what our guitar clubs are all about.

And long may it be so.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone.

Cheers, Alan.

My brother , Chris, the bass player, lives in Foundry Lane in Pelsall. I believe he may well be the Pelsallian Minister of Electricity.

Hi Ecca,
Hope you are having a good Xmas, although I notice from the 'Hankies' thread you seem to be having a good old time there this week. I would love to pop over there again, but I do rely on Chris for transport to Great Wyrley. I will have a word with him & see if we can make it sometime soon. He is rather busy at the moment getting a new house built in Brownhills, & we have just finished 'Shindig's' last World Tour of the Xmas season ...

Cheers to all, Tony.

You may actually be the Hereditory Prince of Pelsall by virtue of birth, Ecca. His Highness (or Hankness !) the Prince of Pelsall ....... hmmm.
Sounds pretty good.
