Those jumpers lasted about 3 gigs, you sweat your conkers off.
They were knitted by various moms, aunties etc with the best of intentions.

That was roughly the age I started out in a band(late 14 early 15) playing Shads stuff. That photo brings back memories. There was a pic of us playing at our first gig in the local paper a few years back.
Cant believe how long ago it was :o

What is the guitar you were playing?

Hi Eric,

I am very impressed, but not surprised. The way you play today, you had to already be a star then.
You could have opened for Cliff and the Shads then. I see some great names in the article. Did you get to meet them at the Gaumont or somewhere else?.
Any recording of that time?.
