Rare Watkins Copicat on eBay

This looks very interesting:

It seems to be genuine although I didn't think rack units were around in 1970. It's too early for digital so presumably there is a tape inside?- not easy to get at, if so!

Does anyone have more information?

It looks very much like a solid state bucket brigade analogue Copicat that an old band of mine used to have- it wasn't that special.
