A Cliff Question

Postby manofmystery » 26 Jan 2012, 11:32

Hi,

Can anyone help. I know it is slightly off topic but does involve The Shadows. Is there a list anywhere (in books etc) detailing the early Cliff tracks (singles and EP's) which were only ever originally issued in Mono but have subsequently had a Stereo release.

Regards

You could refer to 'Cliff Richard - The complete Chronicle' by Mike Read, Nigel Goodall & Peter Lewry published by Hamlyn.

I tried that but it doesn't give a complete list. i.e. "Your Eyes Tell On You" was originally issued in Mono. Did it ever have a Stereo release?

The track in question can be found on two CDs from Leo's Den;

'Rare EP Tracks 1961-91' released in 2010
and
A French release 'Do You Want To Dance'

It doesn't indicate whether or not these are stereo tracks.

Good luck with your search.

I only used that track as an example. I am looking for information on all the 1960's single and EP tracks.

Everything you could ever wish to know about Cliff's recordings, especially the early ones, is here:

Does anyone know if there is something similar for The Shadows out there ????
