No snow in Waterlooville? Great. But....there is lots in Berkshire / Oxfordshire. The forecast tonight is 'dodgy' for those areas. Last week I had a gig (yes!!!!) at the Ace Cafe in London. The journey back was pretty bad. So....regrettably, I personally won't risk the 120 mile round trip tonight. hope everyone who is there has a fabulous time.

Bests....Rob :)

It was a fabulous night at The Heroes with Phil Kelly. This is the venue of the South Coast Shadows Club and the backing band for Phil was The Shadders who also back players on a club night.

The Shadders started the night with a few numbers on there own and Phil later took to the stage and played some Shadows instumentals with the band. Phil later played some realy good blues and rock numbers like Parisienne Walkways, All Along The Watchtower and many more. The pub was packed out mainly with club members and everyone enjoyed what was a good mix of music and it was nice to see Phil playing something different to how we see him at Shadowmania. He's an excellent guitarist and he plays a wide range of music showing off his versatility.

Phil concluded the evening with a couple of "big" numbers, Equinox and suitably Going Home. It was an excellent night enjoyed by everyone.

2 guests played with the band, Sam who's a barmaid sang a couple of numbers and Derek from the club played with the band.

Phil used 2 red strats playing through his Meazzi excho box and into his Vox AC15 (See photo) and also used his Tubescreamer foot pedal.

Here's are a few photos for you.

Stuart,

No sign of a Les Paul on Friday but the Strat did do the business well.

Kitty,

Rather a long way to come from snowy Denmark but some other time perhaps and yes it was a great night.
