Superb work Phil, Great photos and what a set up.
I am currently using Vic Firth sticks but the SD9's. Must try and get a pair of these Extended 5B's.
I am sure it was a real thrill for you.

Regards

Phil

Warren was playing a separate snare at times (clicks on the rim for FBI, if I remember correctly?). Does that come from a kit that Warren owns, or from Brian's stock? (I don't remember a kit in Warren's studio when I interviewed him as part of The Vibratos section of the Pipeline 2003 DVD although he could have got one since)

Excellent, Phil. Brian is living proof that if you are a brilliant drummer, you do not need a great big kit to make yourself sound good. I attended two of the recent shows and I can honestly say that Brian is sounding (and playing) better than ever. The guy is awesome. I look forward to the DVD with baited breath!

Aaaaah!!!!........so THAT'S how it's done!

(clicks on the rim for FBI, if I remember correctly?).

I didn't spot that bit of detail when we went to Sheffield - up "In the Gods" though!

.......and Chris, I agree totally with your "....if you're a brilliant drummer" comment, but would only add that I suspect that this applies to Guitarists, too. (Sorry............I'll get my coat........!)
One of the VERY best Drum Solos I EVER saw was the late, great Buddy Rich, with only a drum stool, snare stand, snare drum, and two sticks - AWESOME!

Brian is a Great Drummer, in a Great Band......and despite their years really ARE at the top of their game!
