Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster ‘50s Fiesta Red

Hi all,

I looked at it at the NAMM show with Jim Nugent and I liked it so much that I wanted to buy the floor model.
For the price, it's a superb deal. They have improved so much the Squiers, the neck is terrific.

Yes, I think people are now catching on to the Classic Vibe range of Squiers. I don't have that particular model, but have the Fiesta Red 'Simon Neil' Biffy Clyro Sign. model, which is a '60s version with Rosewood board & a 3-ply Mint Green scratchplate.
Superb quality & value for money. It just needs an upgrade of the alloy trem. block to a solid steel one, & away you go. I was so impressed with this range that I bought a '50s Bass & '50s Tele too. They also make a Fiesta Red '60s P. Bass with tortoiseshell scratchplate, like Jet's.

I have the Classic Vibe Tele in Butterscotch Blonde and I love it. At the moment it's getting played more than my MIM Stratocaster. Would benefit from a trem though!

I played a couple of these guitars, and was amazed at their quality/price ratio. They're truly great guitars for the money. Are they as good as the US-made models, though? Definitely not. They still feel like budget guitars. But I think they beat most Mexican Strats I've played. And they look really nice, too!

Hi Jim and all,

I just took a print of an internet advertized price from Newegg.com, went to our local Guitar center, and ordered it and got the same amazing price: $324 US
that's a little bit more than 200 BP, or 250 Euros.

I'll post some pictures when I get it.

I have two of the most basic models of Squiers (Bullets) and love em After doing a bit of work on them I'd even go as far as to say they are way much better instruments than the Japanese Strat I purchased in the eighties, both in sound quality and playability, the only criticism being the crappy trem system they instal in them. But you cant really expect that to be of good quality given the price of the guitar in the first place(£70/80 at the time) but can easily and fairly cheaply rectified to make it better.
Although the sound quality is good on them both from the standard pickups, I upgraded one with Seymour Duncans a while back, the difference being, I did'nt really have to to get a good tone but on the Japanese Strat it was a necessity as the pickups on that one sounded really cheap and nasty and I had to upgrade to get a decent sound out of it
Dont know what kind of kit they put in these guitars at the time but they were utter crap. I really wish at the time I'd checked out the Squiers of the day before buying that rubbish.
I'm of a mind to get a Squier Tele now once I see one that I like. Once again, there are some really good ones out there for the way much lesser cost than a Fender
