Hmmm... it isn't included in Roberto's famous database of Cliff/Shads and Shadows recordings (I'm assuming the title to be Michelle and not something like Still My Only One).

It has a definite late 1960 / early 1961 sound to it, with the echo, the Stratocaster and the Gibson J200. Some of the cadences remind me of Theme For A Dream (recorded April 1961) and some of The Young Ones (August 1961). Yet others put one in mind of Catch Me (September 1960).

Is there a recording date in that 8 CD box-set (whatever it is called)?

It was recorded at the 20th September 1960 session that also produced "Now's The Time To Fall In Love" (versions with and without backing vocals - the second of which was first issued on the Cliff 4CD set Rock 'N' Roll Years, 1958-1959) and "Mustang" (from the Shads first EP).

Interestingly, the composer of the song is indicated as "unknown" although, according to the PRS database, the author is given as Kennedy! I did wonder if it was a Pete Chester song, as numerous other titles of a similar style by him were recorded by Cliff during the 1960-61 period.
