It shows how much the banks care and value our loyalty. I recently cancelled my house insurance with my bank where I have been a customer for 40 years and had house insurance with them for 20 years. I noticed that every year the cost went up so started to shop around. I found another bank were offering the same cover for almost half the cost! having cancelled with my bank a received a call a few weeks later asking why I'd cancelled. I told them I had the same cover for a much lower premium. The guy on the phone immediatly said he would match my new insurers premium! He couldnt give a straight answer when I asked why, as a loyal customer, I wasnt offered better terms in the first place! AS long as your prepared to pay they just take your money!

In my humble opinion, for what its worth, the worst offenders, the biggest LEECHES are Solicitors/lawyers/barristers, call them what you will (& I can certainly think of a few choice names  )..... Their hideously outrageous fees are soooo out of proportion to their 'services' to us 'clients' that you have to sell your soul or Granny or Mother to pay for them :x .....
Unfortunately, most of us require them for one thing or another during our lifetime, so they've got us by the 'goo..lees' :x
Yes, Hang'em, as Ecca would say....& I'd put them at the front of the queue
Thats my rant over with for today :!:

Hi Ian

I Have a life insurence policy set up 22 yrs ago to run for 25 yrs forcast was to mature at close to 40 grand, current worth 7 grand when it matures. When i ask why the big differance they say well at least your life has been covered. Total conning rip off merchants!

Most of these people and MP's remind me of a baby's nappy needs changing frequently and for the same reason!

If you check the small print - its even on the TV ads, but you can hardly see it- for these "health Plans/Over 50s etc" it says "you may not get out as much as you pay in" Why bother - buy another amp and guitar - least the kids can sell them when your gone!

Ecca.....That picture (avatar) is still there on my SELEDA284 membership, very kind of you to praise it. I am looking through my photos for a suitable pic to use as my avatar on this account. :)
