Dear all,

I'm sorry to hear about all that. Shadows (and Ventures) fans tend to be senior citizens and share the problems, including health) that attend that stage in life. We have no pension to speak of, here in the tropics from where I write, but in general costs are lower (but climbing too) and the environment more benign and forgiving. However, access to health care and facilities is limited, so there are pros and cons to living here. I will be retiring next year, when income will cease for me. I have built up a very small collection of "correct" guitars and amps, which should keep me happy and occupied so long as I keep focused on the Shadows and the Ventures. But I share your concerns and wish you all the very best.
