Jet Harris R.I.P - One Year On

On Saturday 5th February 2011 Charlotte & I had the privilege of spending an hour chatting with Jet Harris & Janet prior to his appearance at the Ferneham Hall in Fareham. Bravely battling the effects of his illness, Jet gave the eager audience another great & amusing performance, well supported by Justin Daish and The Shadowers. The highlight of the evening came when three ex-Shadows bass guitarists - Jet Harris, Brian 'Licorice' Locking and Alan Jones played a number together.This rare moment was captured with this fine photograph taken by Barry Gillam.
Sadly this turned out to be Jet's final performance as he passed away one year ago today, on the 18th March 2011. We are much looking forward to attending the unveiling of Jet's "Blue Plaque" in London on the 1st April.
