Regarding that shirt- I understand that there was a shop called Millett's in London at that time which sold these- Lonnie Donegan wore them too.
They were a bit trendy with some chaps at the time, worn with jeans...sort of rugged outdoors American look...

It's Millets and they're still going!

And the sweather on Bruce is a gift from the Nowegian singer Jan Rohde. He met Cliff & The Shadows in London on tour with his backinggroup The CoolCats. The sweather was knitted by Jans mother.. Best regards EvenT

I am trying to play early Ventures pieces and for the purpose accumulating as much information as I can on the group - there is hardly any, not even on which amps were used or in fact who played on which tune. Here we even know whose mother knitted a sweater worn on an album. As I said elsewhere, I hope someone is writing all this down.

In 2008, we had some publicity pictures taken for a show we had then. Since we were playing Shadows music, we thought we would mimic the album cover photo subject of this thread. There were five of us though, so we had to adjust a bit, but the guitars are at least the right models. No sweaters, as this is the tropics.

If yiu don't recognize anyone here, that is perfectly understandable! And my apologies in advance!
