That's the great thing about the Pipeline Convention, Kaye. Not only do you get to hear some great instrumental music (including, but not restricted to, Shadows-style), you also get to mingle with loads of similarly minded fans. Great to see both of you there this year.

Speaking of the late Roger Dean i worked with him in the early nineties(nothing to do with music)& he told me many srories from the 60s.He loved the shadows & music of the time. He told me that it was his gretsch that Bruce Welch used in the film ''Summer Holiday''. I also sold a Fender Strat to a member of his band in the late 90s, It was a sad day when i heard that he had died.

Roger Dean met Bruce (probably for the last time) in 2007 at the Pipeline Convention. Each year I include 'A Look Around The Convention' and they can be seen in conversation about a minute from the start.

The double-DVD of the 2012 Convention is just out, featuring all the music played by The Shadders, The Tone Raiders, The Reverb Syndicate, The Charades and Shazam. The 'Look Around' is there of course, and this year's Special Feature is a tribute to Bert Weedon, who died earlier this year. Alan and I have edited together a selection from Bert's 1999 appearance on the Pipeline stage, the first time that this has been seen. For my 'regulars', order forms are on their way by post or email. For any one else interested, send me a PM. If you were in one of the bands and are reading this, you will be getting a complementary copy.
