I drove to Lakeside in person (met Eric Pole in reception!!). The 'phones were manic. But Austin said that it was nothing compared to the Darts championships!! Tickets were selling fast. Managed to secure mine....but (certainly as of 10.30am) the only accommodation available was in the lodges.....as both the International and Continental Hotels were already fully booked!!

After my booking at the Lodges, there is now only 1 Lodge room available, too.

At £78-00 a night the hotels are too expensive, I'll do what I did
the last time I was in a lodge, take small beer chiller fridge and
bottle of milk and have cereal in my room, may also take toaster
this year for making breakfast as well!!

The lodge price this year is £56 per night, and it includes breakfast. Not sure if they are doing an excluding breakfast price this year.

Hooray for work phones! All sorted by 9.17am, tickets & hotel room. My boss was thrilled by Lakeside's efficiency as it meant by 9.20am I was actually concentrating and doing some work. Looking forward to seeing you all there
