Praise for Barry Gibson & Burns

Postby JimTidmarsh » 19 Apr 2012, 13:46

A little while ago, the nut on my Burns Legend DeLuxe broke after a bit of overenthusiastic string bending.

I sent an e-mail to Burns and got a reply from Barry saying he could supply a replacement in exchange for a cheque for £10. I immediately dispatched said required cheque and the next day my new nut arrived in the post! He must have posted me the nut before I had even put my cheque in the postbox!

Such trust and first class service. I've had the guitar now for over 10 years and it's my pride & joy. It's doubly comforting to know the company behind it is also excellent.

Well done Burns & Barry.

I have 3 Burns guitars and have always found their customer service to be first rate! Some time ago I e mailed them asking the cost of a few of the fibre trem washers. A few days later a received a pack of them with their compliments at no charge. Other manufacturers please take note!

Thats a strange bit of damage to your guitar. I've never heard of that one before.
Even Jimi would have had problems wrecking that part of his instrument

I must say, I was surprised as well!!! The nut must have already had a hairline crack under the 2nd String that finally gave. I was bending the fourth string and half the nut moved up a 1/4 inch to protrude above the sixth string!
