RIP Bert
Met him at the Warwick club and he was a true gent, had patience with children and adults alike and signed many an autograph.

Thanks for posting that link Jim - I don't have easy access to a record deck at the moment in order to have posted it and I didn't realise that it was on Youtube.

Incidentally for those echoheads amongst you the echo unit being used on the demo record was a Selmer Truvoice model 400 which had both tape echo and spring reverb.

Farewell Bert. You inspired so many of us to play with your tutors. When we had the pleasure to meet you it was a joy.

No problem, Rog.

Incidentally, the link was for side 1. Both sides of the disc are on Youtube (and not put there by me).

I met Bert Weedon in the early 70's. He was accompanied by a bass player and a keyboard player.

It was at Great Wyrley Working Men's Club.

In the very room that the Hankies now use on Tuesday nights.

God bless Bert. You were an inspiration to so many people. Not least of all me.

Alan.

A guitar virtuoso and and a real gentleman. Such a sad loss but such a rich legacy. I know it's a cliche but they really don't make them like that any more.
As others have said, let's hope there's a documentary to mark his passing and honour his achievements.

Our condolences to his wife Maggie and his family. God bless you Bert.
